OUR STORY
The Start of Geohaus
Geohaus was born in 2022, out of a simple but powerful observation: owning a home in Canada had become a distant dream for far too many—especially young people.
We watched friends, family, and entire communities struggle to find a way into the housing market. Despite working hard, saving diligently, and doing everything “right,” most young Canadians were locked out of the dream of ownership. Skyrocketing prices, bidding wars, and outdated systems created barriers that felt impossible to overcome.
We knew something had to change.
So, we asked ourselves:
What if there was a new way to own real estate—one built for today’s reality?
What if we could create a model where people didn’t need hundreds of thousands in cash, didn’t need to compete in toxic markets, and didn’t need to wait years just to get a foot in the door?
That question sparked the beginning of Geohaus.
The Idea
We started with a mission:
To make homeownership more accessible, affordable, and achievable—without compromising on quality or vision.
Instead of chasing traditional builds and systems, we built modular homes and garden suites that could be added to underused land. We reimagined ownership through shared equity and co-ownership models. We partnered with local landowners, investors, and forward-thinking municipalities. And we gave our members the chance to build real equity in real property—with lower upfront costs and faster timelines.
